FAQ’S
Is it necessary to make a reservation for the Wine Country Experience?
Yes! You may book online or by phone at 916-777-6747. Vine to Wine Tours offers scheduled pick-ups and has a limited number of seats, so it is very important to reserve your seat in advance as soon as you decide your preferred date of travel. Available dates and available seats on those dates are posted on our calendar in our online reservations section daily. The calendar will also reflect any special tours or events in which we are participating.
How many passengers does your vehicle hold?
Our vehicle currently seats 12 passengers comfortably. If you have a party larger than 12 passengers, please call us directly at 916-777-6747 to discuss arrangements.
Where are the pick up locations?
Vine to Wine Tours picks up at several locations throughout Lodi. We pick up at most of the hotels in the area and other local pick-ups can be arranged based upon availability. We also accept requests for pickups outside the Lodi area as far away as Stockton and Sacramento. However, these requests are granted based upon availability and may incur additional fees.
What time does the Wine Country Experience begin and end?
The Wine Country Experience is an all-day event. Your departure and return times will vary based on the location. However, we typically arrive at the first winery by 11:00 a.m. and depart the last winery by 4:30 p.m.
Which wineries are included in the Wine Country Experience?
All of them! There are over 35 wineries with tasting rooms in Lodi. We typically visit four or five of them on any given day. This means, you can travel with us time and again and always have a new Wine Country Experience!
How much wine is served at the tastings?
Typically each winery pours 1 to 2 ounce pours. However, the amount of wine you may be served at each winery will vary, dependant on the different variety of wines available. You may taste anywhere from four to seven wines per winery, although, there are a few wineries that offer even more varietals. This is why having a designated driver is so important!
Should I provide a gratuity?
Many customers do provide a gratuity at the end of the Wine Country Experience as a “Thank you” for a job well done to their host and driver. However, it is up to the discretion of the customer. All private excursions require a 10% gratuity.
Can I reserve a private Wine Country Experience?
Absolutely! Please call us directly at 916-777-6747 to make arrangements for a private excursion and menu options for your special occasion. We do need more advance notice for private parties, for we must turn away other requests for your date of travel. There is a minimum of 10 passengers to charter our shuttle privately. All private excursions require a 10% gratuity.
Can I purchase wine at the wineries we visit?
Yes, we encourage it! A large part of our philosophy is promoting our local wineries and showcasing their wines. If you find a favorite wine, buy a bottle…buy a case…join a wine club! We have an area on the shuttle to store cases and bottles. If you are traveling, you may be able to arrange shipment with the winery directly.
